In other news, A PERFECT CIRCLE's song "Passive", taken from their "eMOTIVe" album, has been chosen as the feature song for the upcoming Keanu Reeves thriller "Constantine".
The song, which was originally intended for NINE INCH NAILS' frontman Trent Reznor's ill-fated TAPEWORM project (under its original title, "Vacant"),was a songwriting collaboration between A PERFECT CIRCLE's Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel and NINE INCH NAILS' Reznor and Danny Lohner. "It's a song that I've been working on for a long time," said Keenan. "Originally it came from a couple riffs that Danny had written, and it's been through 20 incarnations."
"The song is very much about apathy," Keenan continued. "I think a lot of the problems in this country have to do with people willingly staying asleep. They're allowing this administration to manipulate their decisions without actually getting involved in those decisions."
"Constantine" will receive a U.S. theatrical release on February 18.
